Sanjeet Seenauth, who has a background in engineering, read law at Middlesex University where he obtained his LLB (Hons) in 2016.

He did his Bar Professional Training Course at Cardiff University, Wales and was a recipient of the Vice-Chancellor’s International Scholarship. He was called to the Bar of England and Wales at The Honourable Society of the Middle Temple in 2018.

After completing his pupillage with Désiré Basset SC, at the DPP’s Office and with Mrs Attorney Anju Ghose, he was sworn in as a barrister in Mauritius in January 2020.

Sanjeet handles both civil and criminal litigation and does consultancy work. His main areas of practice are property law, company law, employment law, family law, administrative law and criminal law. He regularly appears before the Supreme Court and the subordinate courts and tribunals. As a Junior Counsel, he has assisted Senior Counsel in several judicial review applications, and commercial and injunction cases.

Sanjeet also served the Chairperson of the Medical Negligence Standing Committee of the Ministry of Health & Wellness from February to November 2024.
