Karrim Namdarkhan read law at King's College London graduating with an LLB (Hons.) in 2011.
Since August 2018, Karrim has been a member of the Independent Review Panel (“IRP”) – a specialised body tasked with reviewing the evaluation and selection of bidders by public bodies and the Central Procurement Board for the award of public contracts.
In April 2021, Karrim was appointed a Member of the Board of the Independent Commission Against Corruption (“ICAC”) – a commission set up under the Prevention of Corruption Act 2002 to investigate and prosecute persons in relation to corruption and money-laundering offences.
In March 2024, and again in February 2025, Karrim was appointed a Commissioner of the Financial Crimes Commission (“FCC”), a law enforcement and investigation authority expanding over and superseding the ICAC.
He regularly appears before the Supreme Court and the Industrial Court of Mauritius as well as before the Assessment Review Committee, the Independent Review Panel and in disciplinary committees. He has also appeared as Junior Counsel assisting Senior Counsel before the Judicial Committee of the Privy Council.
