Heetesh Dhanjee read law at the London School of Economics and Political Science, graduating with an LLB (Hons) in 2007.

He completed the Bar vocational Course at the University of the West of England and was called to the Bar of England and Wales in 2008 at Lincoln's Inn. He was sworn in as a barrister in Mauritius in January 2010.

He has been a member of Basset Chambers from 2010.

He practices mainly as a litigator in Courts, tribunals and in arbitration matters. His areas of practice include administrative law, company law, competition law, employment law, construction law, the law regarding copropriété et associations foncières and procurement law.

He regularly appears before the Supreme Court and the Industrial Court of Mauritius as well as before the Assessment Review Committee, the Independent Review Panel and in disciplinary committees. He has also appeared as Junior Counsel assisting Senior Counsel before the Judicial Committee of the Privy Council.

He advises listed companies and non-listed companies on a range of corporate transactions and also provides advice to a number of clients from the financial services sector and the construction industry.
